TRACP RESIDENCY
TRACP RESIDENCY
The Toronto Residency in Applied and Community Psychology (TRACP) is a paid clinical psychology residency offered through a consortium of private practices in Toronto. This program provides doctoral students in Ontario and Quebec with supervised clinical experience in diverse settings, regardless of their graduate program’s CPA accreditation status.
Since 2022, the consortium has trained doctoral residents from a range of institutions in Ontario, including clinical psychology and child clinical/clinical developmental programs. TRACP’s application process operates independently of APPIC, emphasizing a flexible, individualized approach to placements. Each resident completes at least two rotations across training sites to ensure breadth and depth of experience.
Applications are submitted through the Application Portal, requiring:
A CV, a brief cover letter outlining clinical background, training interests, and any preferences for available placements.
Answering short questions regarding past clinical training and current dissertation research progress
Given the demanding nature of PhD studies, the application process is designed to be concise and straightforward. We recognize the heavy workload of doctoral students and ask applicants to keep submissions concise. All eligible candidates will be offered interviews to ensure alignment with their training goals.
