Funded Practicum Opportunity Available
The Toronto Residency in Applied and Community Psychology (TRACP) is a paid clinical psychology residency offered through a consortium of private practices in Toronto. This program provides doctoral students in Ontario and Quebec with an opportunity to gain supervised clinical experience in diverse settings, regardless of their program’s accreditation status.
For the 2025-2026 residency year, TRACP offers:

The Toronto Residency in Applied and Community Psychology (TRACP) is a doctoral clinical psychology residency program that provides supervised training in applied and community-based psychological services. TRACP consists of two tracks:
Child Track: Focused on psychological assessment, therapy, and consultation for children and adolescents.
Adult Track: Focused on psychotherapy, assessment, and clinical consultation for adults (and optionally couples.)
The residency is a 12-month, 1,600-hour internship with a stipend of $45,000. TRACP operates as a consortium of private practices, including The PsychoEd Clinic, Etobicoke Psychology Services, Toronto Psychology Clinic, and Flourish Health Services.
TRACP does not participate in the APPIC Match and follows a direct application process. For a more detailed overview of the clinical rotations and educational opportunities, please refer to the TRACP Residency Handbook.
Minimum requirements include:
Must be enrolled in a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology in Ontario or Quebec (CPA or APA accreditation is not required).
Substantial practicum experience in both assessment and intervention.
Completion of all required coursework for the doctoral degree before the start of the residency.
Intention to pursue registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) or an equivalent regulatory body.
Must be able to work in Canada at the time of application.
Additional requirements:
Residents must hold professional liability insurance for the duration of the residency.
Some placements may require a Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) and up-to-date immunization records.
Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given preference. International students with a valid Canadian Work Permit may apply.
